If you live in a ski town like Jackson Hole, nothing could be as exciting as having a bunch of Olympic skiers come to your home hill for training just a few days before the 2010 Vancouver games. Word around town is that the ladies have arrived and will be taking to Snow King to practice and show all Jacksonites and visitors, alike that they are ready for some gold, silver and bronze. Come out and show your support and witness death-defying speeds as the ladies of U.S. National Women’s Ski Team crush Snow King!

Here’s something to plan ahead for: word is that (perhaps starting tomorrow), the US Women’s Ski Team Pre-Olympic Training is going to go down at Snow King this week. Tentative dates are (2/6-2/14). So get ready for the speedfest and make sure to head over and watch Lindsey Vonn and the ladies drop the hammer!
Once again, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and KGB Productions are showering us with some ski candy. Another big dump hit Jackson Hole Sunday and into Monday and Tuesday-20 inches in the last 72 hours in fact. Might be time for a trip to powder town folks!
Based on the data from this graph, it’s a good time to be in Jackson Hole. 18 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours (12″ of which fell since the lifts closed) officially launches Jackson Hole into a complete winter wonderland. Let the weekend go to the dogs! On the town square that is. Tonight, Friday night, the 2010 International Pedigree Stage Stop Dog Sled Race commences on the Jackson Hole Town Square at 6:30 pm. The week-long, 345 mile race passes through 11 Wyoming towns and ends in Park City, UT. We are lucky enough to get the party started right here in Jackson as teams of pups run through the town square. The exciting event, said to be the largest sled dog race in the lower 48, promises a festive night in the valley and is the best way to kick off another awesome weekend in Jackson Hole.

Some say, it’s the ultimate test at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Live Well says if you want to in fact be well-stay out till you’re pretty sure you can stick it.
