Since 1986, Equal Exchange has promoted The Big Change and their ideas for a food system empowering farmers and consumers. It’s an impressive organization and well before its time. The Big Change supports small farmer co-ops and that use sustainable farming methods. According to Equal Exchange, they “started with fairly traded coffee from Nicaragua and didn’t look back. Today, we continue to find new and powerful ways to build a better food system.
