Good Mornings at Pearl Street Bagels
Monday, August 25th, 2008Several miles from Teton Village and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Pearl Street Bagels, a coffee shop in Wilson, is the perfect spot to start your day. With the other location in Jackson town, PSBW (Wilson) is our pick for its peaceful and picturesque outdoor setting, especially in Summer. Why? To put it simply: Fish Creek.
The caffinated of the greater Jackson Hole area are lucky enough to have a glistening tributary to the Snake River (and lowest point in Grand Teton National Park) running by as they sit and sip, read the paper or talk with friends. Get a hot coffee drink or tea with a fresh-made (but, alas, not toasted) bagel and seat yourself down at any number of picnic tables, miscellaneous benches or tree stumps. Sitting here early in the chilly morning, sipping a deliciously dark cup of coffee, watching the lazy Wilson world drift by on Fish Creek, is a delight.
Pearl Street shares its backyard with Wilson Backcountry Sports, so the scene never lacks a famished biker headed down from Teton Pass, or tourists looking to get outfitted for a summer adventure. Morning noon and on is busy with locals, seasonal second home owners, visitors, children and plenty of dogs. If you’ve already had your morning meal, it is a great place to fuel up on a bagel sandwich or an icy treat called “Wild Tribe” (blended ice/Mexican mocha (add banana) milk chocolate-y-goodness).
Pearl Street is busy all day, so expect to line up! Despite all the daily activity, a pervasively relaxing, healthy vibe of this setting remains. A visit to Wilson’s charming and somehow quirky coffee and bagel shop, coupled with the rare surroundings, somehow makes breakfast, lunch and beyond a true sensory experience.
Pearl Street Bagels is open everyday from 6:30 am-6:00 pm
